Click and moan; the door moaned as Samantha pushed it open. Kicking off her shoes, she tossed the bloodied bag in a corner. "Charles" would no doubt pick it up in the morning, and as usual leave no trace of his existence, other than a little thank you note he liked to leave behind after a pick up. Her trench coat slid off her slim body, revealing the army green tank top she wore underneath. Having too much clothes was a discomfort, especially since aerodynamics were a necessity for survival most of the times, so she kept herself light.
The room was enveloped in light as Samantha flicked the light switch. The apartment block was slightly larger than usual, but it wasn't anything to get excited about. The front door led to the kitchen/living room, and then a few rooms branched off from the sides. Sam always considered getting a house, but the extra room was useless. For not anyway. She never knew what might end up occupying her living space.
"By the way, I share my apartment with someone else. She's not here at the moment, but she'll probably be here by tomorrow afternoon" As much as Samantha avoided company, the little she had was everything to her. And when that company had to make it's leave, it would feel hollow. Perhaps, subconsciously, that's why she invited this stranger into her house. Who knows?
"Oh, and she's a Monster. Hope you don't mind. Hungry?"

Kee hesitated at the threshold, watching as the nameless woman entered and half-considering turning around right there to forge through the darkest night, back to the Walking Dragon Inn. This was foreign territory, and her shoulders stiffened like imaginary hackles rising in discomfort. Kee was an intruder, omega, and this huntress was alpha. Get out. Not your territory. Go back home. Not pack, animal instinct chattered in her hind-brain, vehemently encouraging her. She rocked back on her heels in indecision.
Then the lovely lady spoke, trench coat sliding from her elegant shoulders, and the use of language startled Kee from her bestial reprieve. What did she say? About a monster... also staying there? This woman kills abominations, yet she's not only unknowingly inviting one into her home, but she's also letting another move in, she thought in bemusement. What a dynamic human she'd stumbled upon. Tentatively, she stepped into the apartment and secured the door behind her. It groaned like life-hungry ghosts and clicked shut. Her slim fingers twisted the lock out of habit. It wasn't safe to leave doors unlocked in Stratwater, even if one did tote guns around and kill wolf-fishmen in three seconds.
"Um, what?" Lost in thought as she often was, Kee had to digest the huntress's words for a moment until they bled in. "Oh, uh... that's nifty." Sorry I'm not telling you about my own... inhumanity. Sincerely! She folded her hands nervously in front of her, nails bronze in the lamplight that filled the apartment. Upon being asked if she was hungry, Kee had to think. She often forgot to eat and skipped whole meals, so little a part her stomach played in her distracted life. "I suppose..."
